You can leverage too!

Chapter 296

This is day after. The day after Emma’s arrival at home. It was so wild holding a baby so tiny and small. Either we have forgotten what holding a newborn is like, or she is way smaller than ours were. And yes she weights less, which makes a great deal of difference in tiny babies I guess, 6.5 pounds versus 8.5 pounds doesn’t sound like a lot but percentage-wise its is 30%! But she is perfect and we are all enjoying loving up on her which mostly involves holding her while she sleeps since newborns are all about sleeping. 

What is interesting here is how this birth has placed a different feel to living here. It has made being here, living here, maybe staying here, totally come alive in a unique and unexpected way. Not sure what this means, it is a feeling and nothing more tangible than that at the moment, but there is a potential in the air, almost a promise of more, of what could be, of how these next years could look and be. Since these last eight months have been overwhelmingly awesome I can’t really get my mind around more, but that is the feeling in the air these days. Of course how it works out and how we live it out may well be something altogether different than what I am writing here this morning, but you get the picture, something is in the air!

The leadership point here is that you can leverage far more influence than your weight would suggest.
